St. Lucia’s Winter Specials

Select resorts are offering special incentives for spur-of-the-moment travel

Winter weather is waning across much of the country, but swimsuit season is still months away. If you can’t wait for summer, maybe it’s time for a Caribbean beach getaway to St. Lucia. As an incentive, a number of the island’s premier resorts are offering special rates for travelers who can book now and travel soon. Here are half-dozen deals that will help you shake off winter chills.

Calabash Cove Resort and Spa

This five-star property combines old-school Caribbean charm with luxurious resort amenities and a modern decor. Calabash Cove is a boutique, adults-only resort of just 26 rooms, set on a private beach on the island’s northwest coast. Guests can choose beachfront cottages, which feature plunge pools, separate living areas, and outdoor showers, or suites with sea and pool views from porches or balconies. Public areas such as the infinity pool and Windsong restaurant are designed to take full advantage of the property’s dramatic sea views, and the garden-like grounds are laced with footpaths that lead to private nooks and spaces for relaxation. During the SUMMER LOVIN’ promotion, guests can save 55 percent on all summer rates. Bookings must be made before March 31, 2018, for stays between April 1st and December 12, 2018. Rates start at $1,129 for 3 nights with breakfast included.

Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa

This St. Lucia favorite is like two resorts in one. Set on the island’s south coast, with views of the Maria Island Nature Reserve from Anse de Sables beach, Coconut Bay has both a quiet and a playful side. The property’s Splash wing caters to active groups and families, with water sports, a kid’s club, and the island’s largest water park. The Harmony wing is an adults-only oasis of relaxation and romance, with daily yoga, outdoor day beds and sun decks facing a quiet section of beach. During the Spring Special promotion at Splash, guests who book early can save up to 60 percent on all-inclusive rates, and receive up to $1,000 in resort credits. This package includes all meals at eight on-site restaurants, premium libations at seven bars, the use of five pools, complimentary water sports. This offer is valid for travel between April 5 and June 20, 2018.

Anse Chastanet

For more than 25 years, Anse Chastanet has reigned as one of the most noted and award-winning eco-luxury resorts in the Caribbean. This expansive coastal estate is located next to the Piton World Heritage site, with two palm-lined beaches fronting the waters of a marine reserve. Waterfront and hillside rooms feature open floor plans, with large louvered windows and flower- draped terraces that usher in trade winds and coastal views. On site amenities include three restaurants and two bars, two beachside boutiques and an art gallery, the Kai Belte Spa, a full service water sports center and Scuba St. Lucia. Through March 31, guests can save 30 percent on standard, superior and beachside deluxe rooms, and from April 21 to December 19, 2018, the savings increase to 35 percent. The promotion requires a four night minimum stay.

Jade Mountain

A sister property to Anse Chastanet, Jade Mountain takes full advantage of its lofty setting and panoramic views. Perched high above the Caribbean, hillside accommodations remove the fourth wall to open sleeping and living spaces that showcase the Caribbean far below. Private infinity pools perched on the outer edge of elevated terraces seem to hang in mid air. The Jade Mountain Club offers similarly dramatic tableside views, along with a proprietary fusion cuisine created by a James Beard awarded chef. Personalized perks such as private in-room and beach dining, personalized wine pairings and sunset champagne presentations take the epicurean experience to the next level. Jade Mountain is also home to the highly regarded Kai en Ciel spa. The resort is now offering the Take Five Sale, which rewards guests with a fifth night free for bookings based on either the daily rate or all-inclusive Total Romance Package.

Ti Kaye Village Resort

The Creole language phrase “ ti kaye” translates to little house, which is appropriate for the collection of gingerbread cottages that perch on a bluff above Anse Cochon cove. Each of the 33 hillside guest accommodations is situated for both privacy and panoramic views, which can be enjoyed from private terraces and plunge pools. Guests at the all-adult resort can engage in a wide range of water sports and land activities such as cooking sessions that begin with chef escorted shopping trips to local markets. The top-rated Kai Koko Spa provides an oasis of relaxation perched on the cliff’s edge to provide dramatic views of azure Caribbean Sea. Not to be missed is the property’s Rum and Wine Tasting Cellar, which holds a 3000-bottle collection of premium vintages and rums, and has earned top honors from Wine Spectator. The Resort’s Winter Warmer sale provides a 20 percent savings on room rates, daily continental breakfast for two, use of water sports equipment and complimentary Wi-Fi. The promotion applies to stays before April 15, 2018, when booked by March 31st. Visit for more information.
