Perched on a rugged 60-foot cliff on the north coast of the Dominican Republic overlooking the crescent-shaped Playa Grande Beach, Amanera is backed by mountains and jungle. With just 25 standalone casitas, each is positioned for maximum privacy on the hillside, allowing for ocean views; many have private plunge pools. Imagined as a tranquil sanctuary, the Aman Spa offers a holistic approach to wellness, featuring several signature spa journeys. With the jungle reserves right outside your doorstep, a hike or horseback ride might be on the agenda.

The Retreat

This is the second in-house retreat at Castara. It is led by yoga instructor and wellness manager Judha Pacheco and her team.
