Now is the time to try the best restaurants in Miami and eat your way around the town throughout August and September

 

Miami may be the most exhilarating, innovative, and eclectic culinary destination in the country. As a multiethnic city with a melting pot of nationalities, Miami’s culinary influences continue to evolve. Once heavily influenced by the Caribbean and Latin America, today‘s cuisine includes more international nations and gastronomies from Europe and Asia, creating a global dining map. New creations, more explosions, and flavors and combinations are being experimented with in the kitchens. International chefs are heading to the city, opening new spots and collaborating with established chefs and restaurants.

This year marks the 23rd running event of Miami Spice, where chefs, restaurateurs, and culinary experts come together to promote and offer gourmands the opportunity to try cuisines from top- tiered talented chefs. There is no shortage of restaurants and cuisine with flavors from Asia, India, Morrocco, Italy, Colombia, Mexico, Japan, Jamaica, Cuba, and more.

The two-month event is organized and promoted by The Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) is sponsored by Woodford Reserve, Herradura Tequila, and Saratoga Spring Water. Locals and visitors can indulge in the destination’s finest eateries, enjoying prix fixe, three-course meals for just $30 or $35 for lunch and brunch and $45 or $60 for dinner. Whether you’ve been looking forward to dining at a Michelin-rated restaurant or indulging in the talents of a James Beard Award- Winning Chef, this year’s program promises unforgettable culinary adventures.

Dive into delicious offerings from more than 300 restaurants, including favorite chains and decade- old spots like Rusty Pelican, Joe’s Stone Crab, and Miami Beach’s fav, A Fish Called Avalon. Newcomers joining in are Elastika in the Design District, boasting Modern American fare. In Coconut Grove, Portuguese seafood shines at Sereia and Thomas Keller’s newest spot in Coral Gables, Bouchon Bistro. Try Greek cuisine at Estatorio Milos, Italian at Casadonna, and Cuban food with Chef Michelle Bernstein at Café La Trova.
